Wendy joined the Office of Career Programs & Employer Relations in May 2024, having been part of Dominican University since August 2022. Her role involves connecting DU students with internships, externships, and Career Practicum courses. Wendy is available for meetings on Handshake or in person to assist with resume reviews, career goal discussions, and referrals to the Experts and Executives in Residence program.
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership with a focus on Higher Education, both from Northeastern Illinois University. Prior to her tenure at Dominican, Wendy accrued five years of professional experience spanning diverse sectors such as metal manufacturing, beer brewing, and research laboratories. After a year in academic research, she made the choice to pivot her career towards higher education.
Students interested in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, environmental science, natural science, computer science, computer information systems, data science, engineering, informatics, mathematics, Culinology®, nursing, and/or nutrition and dietetics are encouraged to schedule a meeting with Wendy for guidance and support.

Assistant Director of Internships and Externships
Bianca first joined the Office of Career Programs & Employer Relations in January 2021 on the Title V Part A2 grant. She works to place DU students in internships and externships (job shadowing opportunities) in addition to facilitating enrollment into CV courses. Bianca is also available to meet with students on Handshake or in person to review their resumes, discuss career goals, and direct them towards the Experts and Executives in Residence.
Bianca is a double alum of Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business, with a BA in International Business (2020) and an MBA (2023). Bianca is an MBTI Certified Practitioner and a member of CEIA and NACE.

Assistant Director, Student Employment & Internships
Eric Borsche is the Assistant Director of Student Employment & Internships in Dominican University’s Office of Career Programs & Employer Relations. Eric is responsible for the management of on-campus, off-campus, and micro-internships, as well as Non-Employment-Based Opportunities (NEBO), part-time student employment jobs, and work study jobs (both on and off campus).
Before joining Dominican University, Eric was a Learning and Development Manager at McMaster-Carr Supply where he created and facilitated training content for all current employees and new hires. In addition to the Learning and Development role, Eric also held roles as an Ergonomist Coach, Process Trainer, and Quality Control Specialist. He went back to school in 2017 to earn his MBA from Elmhurst University with a specialization in Data Science. Eric has a passion for improving processes that deliver measurable, data-driven results.

Office Manager
Jennifer is the Project Assistant for Title V, Part A2 & B. Jennifer assists the team and the office of Career Programs & Employer Relations with office management and record keeping. Jennifer is excited to be managing two new programs including Suit-Up and The Headshot program. Suit-Up provides new or gently used business attire to students attending job interviews. The Headshot program provides on-demand headshot for students to use for LinkedIn profiles, Handshake profiles and e-Portfolios.
Mayra Chacon
Career Experiential Learning Coordinator
Mayra M. Chacón, PhD.
Dr. Mayra M. Chacón joined Dominican University’s Office of Career Programs & Employer Relations in January 2025, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to her Career Experiential Learning Coordinator role. In this position, she collaborates with on-campus and off-campus employers to identify and develop meaningful career experiential learning opportunities, including internships, externships, shadowing programs, contractual roles, and Non-Employment-Based Opportunities (NEBO).
She earned her Master of Management in Nonprofit Administration from North Park University and her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In addition to her administrative role, Dr. Chacón serves as an adjunct instructor at Rosary College and the Brennan School of Business, where she equips first-generation college students with essential skills to navigate and thrive during their academic journeys.
Before working with higher education institutions, she worked for over 12 years in the nonprofit sector, specializing in immigration advocacy and community engagement.
