What to know about this role
- This is an eight (8) week, full time internship from Monday, June 10th, 2024 to Friday, August 2nd, 2024.
- The hourly rate for this position is: $18.00 per hour
- We are a fully remote organization with team members across the country. Work from the comfort of your home, a local coffee shop or wherever in the U.S. brings you joy! Please note that you MUST live in one of the following states in order be considered for this temporary role:

Our Professional Chapters Community (PCC) is seeking an intern with a passion for marketing and community to serve our 69 professional chapters across North America with 11,000+ volunteers. Lean into your strengths as a clear communicator, relationship builder, and content designer to strengthen the way we support our volunteer community in elevating the marketing industry. You’ll walk away with a diverse portfolio, wide-reaching connections across the industry, and a refined understanding of the strengths you uniquely bring to your work.
What you’ll be doing
- Audit, update and add to the Chapter Resource Portal, including a repository to support amplification of AMA efforts.
- Refine the PCC communications plan and create a more streamlined and engaging digital approach for chapter leaders.
- Support collaboration opportunities between our Professional and Collegiate AMA communities by curating announcements for outreach, volunteer recruitment, and other chapter activities.
What you bring to the table
- Current college student or graduate of a Marketing, Business or other related Communications degree or have a background in/exposure to the Marketing industry
- Experience with copywriting for at least one of the following communication channels: email, websites/blogs, or social media
- Prior experience volunteering and/or working with volunteers
- Familiarity with WordPress, Asana and Google Suite
What to expect from the interview process
- Hiring Manager resume review
- One way video interview on Spark Hire (We promise this isn’t scary! Our questions are well thought out and we wanted your answers to be as well. So you have unlimited think time for each of the five questions we ask!) that will take 15-20 minutes.
- 30-minute phone interview with a member of AMA’s People and Culture team
- Virtual On-Site Interview with the hiring manager and the role’s mentor that you’ll be working closely with.
