HACU x CIA Career Exploration Bootcamp

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) are partnering together to select up to 30 college freshmen to travel to Washington D.C. and participate in a three-day career exploration event, tentatively scheduled for May 30 – June 02, 2023. During the event, students will visit the CIA and meet with CIA professionals to learn about the culture, expectations, and opportunities available when pursuing a career with the CIA. The event will consist of informational workshops and networking activities. After the event, students will be encouraged to apply for CIA internships.
Award includes:
- Round-trip airfare to Washington D.C.
- Hotel lodging for the duration of the event
- Event registration (including meals)
Eligibility Criteria:
- U.S. citizenship
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate freshman and sophomores at a HACU-Member Institution. For a list of current HACU-Member Institutions, click here.
- Carry at least 12 credit hours in their first term
- Have excellent writing and briefing skills.
- Have an interest in serving as a civilian in the Intelligence Community
- Able to meet CIA suitability requirements and background investigation (character and conduct)
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: If selected, students must show proof of being vaccinated/registering a negative COVID-19 test prior to traveling to Washington D.C.
